ABOUT SKYE GELLMANN
Skye Gellmann (AU, 1985) works with the body under pressure – across performance, photography and the moving image. Movement emerges through constraint, risk, and recalibration, as the body negotiates physical, material and environmental conditions. Actions unfold over time, producing a physical language that resists resolution, virtuosity, and fixed form.
After graduating from NICA (2006), they went on to create performance works – Scattered Tacks (2008), Asleep in a Secret (2009), Mothlight (2010), Blindscape (2012), Snow (2014), Bodies Over Bitumen (2015), End Grain (JP, 2017), Subjective Spectacle (2019), Without a Body (2022), Body Fiction (2023), Heels/Glass (2025) –
